FOR I AM DETERMINED!
1 Corinthians 2:2 (KJV) For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. For I “am” determined, I have to be determined, not the church, not my pastor, not my spouse, not my family and friends, but “I”, I am the one that has to be determined to follow Jesus, I am the one that has to be determined to want Jesus in my life, I am the one that has to be determined to pray, I am the one that has to be determined to sacrifice, I am the one that has to be determined to read my word, to walk in the way of the cross. Websters 1828 Dictionary defines Determination as: 1. The act of determining or deciding. 2. Decision of a question in the mind; firm resolution; settled purpose; as, they have acquainted me with their determination 4. Absolute direction to a certain end. We are determined to do everything in the natural; we are determined we are going to get to work on time. We are determined to do our jobs, so we can get a paycheck. We are determined to try and not offend our natural brothers and sisters. We are determined that when we have a desire to eat certain foods, we go get it. We are determined when we have a desire to go to certain places, or to be around certain people, we accomplish that; but that’s just natural determination, that’s temporal determination. Where is our determination for Jesus? Where is our determination for the longevity of Christ? Where is our determination for the eternal things of Christ? Where is our determination for wanting to be like Christ? Where is our determination? FOR I AM DETERMINED, “I AM” not my brother, not my sister, “I AM”, FOR I AM DETERMINED! For “I AM” determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ and him crucified. So what else are we trying to know? What else is taking our thoughts away? What else are we giving our thoughts too? That is taking us away from Jesus Christ and Him crucified. FOR I AM DETERMINED. Ladies… Sisters: ARE YOU DETERMINED? Tameria |
